Dr Howard recommended I complete a stress test based on a few personal health factors. Sure enough the first one came back with a negative comment. I went to a second test with thalium and it, too, came back showing a problem. A week later I had a stent emplaced in my heart. Since it was the left anterior descending (widow maker) artery, Dr Howard saw to it I warded off a heart attack and may even had saved my life.

She is a wonderful, intelligent, caring, and compassionate physician. She treats everyone from privates to retirees, and every single patient is given the same care. I really respect and appreciate her as my Doctor.

Unfortunatly... Dr. Schoenbaum will be leaving our base. We have been in Tucson for 17 years and he by far has been the best... We retiree's deserve the best and he is just that!

Doctor Tooley has made a difference because he orders various test in order to determine the illness, furthermore, I was been treated for muscle spassm at the veteran hospital so I went for a second opinion to Dr. Tooley. Dr. Tooley discovered that I had a heart problem. Upon referring me to a cardoligist it was determined that I required a triple by pass. I brought my 3 1/2 year old son James in for a check up after he was was sick over Christmas. Dr. Dumaplin treated him for an ear infection and told me the plan of action. I though we'd be on our way when he looked at me funny and asked about my sons belly. It was large, round and distended, yet James is skinny and hasn't gained much weight the past year. I though it was a toddler thing and he'd eventually grow into that cute big belly. Dr. Dumaplin told me that was a common side effect of Celiacs Disease (gluten intolerance) and we should consider doing a blood test to check it out. A few weeks later the blood test confirmed it was Celiacs. Dr. Dumaplin took the time to evaluate more than a common ear infection. Now with diet changes hopefully James will start gaining weight and grow into a happy healthy kid.

Dr. Demeure cared about me as a person from the first time he examined me. He made sure that all test were performed and that I was taken care of. Even after I was no longer under his care from the surgery he performed, he was there for me when I started having other problems that may have been related to my previous problems. When I went to schedule an appointment with him, I acidently dialed his cell phone. I was so embarrassed and upset. He was very kind and told me that I was his patient and he was there for me. He deserves high honors in all he does. He is a great surgeon, does his job very professionaly, cares about his patients and has a great bedside manner. Thank you Dr. Demeure.

Dr. Paulino was a doctor in the Air Force. He is very caring, and considerate. He is a great listener when you have any questions or problems with medications or just general medical questions regarding your health issues. He has a bulletin board in his waiting room and has asked all active duty, retired or reserve patients to bring in a photo of themselves and he has placed them on this board for all others to view and share the experience. Dr. Hutain is a very intelligent, well rounded family pratice physician. He always takes the time to sit and listen to all your problems and concerns, and I can't stress how imporatant that part is. My doctor is a model of wellness and health who inspires my family to be the healthiest we can be. She is a physician, a triathlete and a Girl Scout leader. When she is not healing our illnesses, she is leading us on the track and in making the world a better place through Girl Scouting. I am so thankful to find a doctor who shares our wellness goals but who is equally equipped to help me when I have been sick.

She is extremely well knowledged in her field of OB GYN. My mother was also appauled at how fast she performed the delivery of my daughter. She unwrapped the umbilical chord the was wrapped three times around my daughter in the blink of an eye. Throughout my entire pregnancy she was on top of everything I experienced through my strict bed rest pregnancy. I had many extremely painful days and many scares. She not only did what she had to as a DR. but was so compassionate while doing it. Just making you feel so cared about. When she exlains to you your situation, progress, or procedures, etc. She is SO SO straight forward and know just how to explain it at our level of understanding rather then some DR.'s how they tell you in all the professional terminology like we know their medical abbreviations or terms. Dr. Shah has been our family physician for over twenty-years. He cares for three generations of my family and close friends. He is our family, neighborhood and community doctor. He always makes himself available to us not just for illnesses, but for any questions or general concerns. Dr. Shah has over a hundred patients - but always makes each individual feel as though he or she is the only patient he is treating. He follows your care during daytime appointments - after hours - weekends or holidays; you can always expect a call from the doctor inquiring about your recent health issues. Dr. Feeney is extremely pro-active when it comes to a patient's care. His genuine concern to get to know his patients and their medical history starts even before the first time you meet him and lasts through each visit. He keeps himself informed on the newest practices, procedures and current medical issues going around. His 'home-away-from-home' type of office is relaxing and friendly. I have never had to wait over 5 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. He always meets his appointments as scheduled.

Dr. Rahimifar has recently completed the second complicated back surgery for me. The first was 10 years ago and occurred after four years of sciatic pain. Other neurosurgeons deferred surgery as 'the nerve would not recover after such a time'. My recovery was to normal ADL for 10 years! The second surgery,for higher disc problems after a rapid and severe onset of sciatic compromise, was even more complicated and the recovery is in process! He is a skilled and caring physician and surgeon who is supported by a great office staff.

Dr Wettstein is my age, and an old-fashioned GP… But he's super. Always has time to talk, and provides insight that helps the 'whole person', not just the immediate problem.

Dr. DeJong became my doctor when I moved to CA in 2001. I was used to the service from Madigan and was concerned about moving into the civilian system. Dr. DeJong has been wonderful! I am able to get appointments in a reasonable time. The nursing staff responds to my questions when they are below the need for physician response. He makes appropriate referrals to also competent and compassionate specialists. My wife has been eligible for another HMO while employeed, but is looking forward to switching to TRICARE and to Dr. DeJong as soon as she can.

I have had Dr. DeSilva since 1993 and she is one of the best doctors I have ever had. She cares about her patients and makes sure they get the care they need and deserve. She has always given me the best care possible and if I happen to have something she is not sure about she has no problem making sure I see the specialist I may need. I have had diabetes for 48 years, and try my best to take the best care of myself I can, and it is so comforting to have a doctor that understands my disease and how to manage it. My doctor is the most thorough doctor I have ever had. She has a pleasant personality and will spend as much time with her patients that is needed. She follows up with any tests that are given and usually is on time but if she isn't I don't get bothered because I know she is giving another patient the same treatment that she gives me.

Dr. Wood is the most caring and unpretentious physician I have ever met. Her evaluations for medical procedures are thorough with all options explained completely. My annual exams are no longer postponed because I look forward to seeing her. She is always just a phone call away and someone I truly admire.

I can get an appointment to see him on a couple business hour's notice of calling his office. He listens very well and his ability to diagnose my problem is great. After being with an HMO-run medical center that would not treat a condition they did not have the facilities to diagnose or treat. Dr. Bohun is a very caring doctor. The first time that I went into her office, she was very pleasant and caring. I remember when I first took my youngest daughter, Shaaron, in to see her. This is when we discovered that Shaaron had asthma. Even my daughter said that she made her feel very comfortable. Dr. Lin gave me my son back! I had been to several doctors over the years. Dr. Lin actually listened and gave my son the correct diagnosis. My son had every diagnosis from Austim, ADD, and PDD when he actually had Epilepsy! You want a doctor who will listen, care, and use their expertise to find the correct diagnosis!

Dr Doursch, PA Speirs, and NP Annette Johnson, all work very hard to help me with my COPD, and other health issues. They never seem to worry that they will not make as much money from me a medicare/TFL patient as from others. Dr Doursch and the other two have all said they just want to make me feel better and to be able to functiion and without pain.

Since the early 90s after I retired from the Army I have been going to Dr 'V'. He has such a caring heart. When either I or my wife visit him we really feel his focus and full attention. When I was out of work years ago, he provided needed medications from his stock to help us through our time of need. On a scale of 1 - 10 with 10 being the top, Dr. 'V' is a 10++.

Dr. Tan is one of the best pediatricians we have ever dealt with. He takes care of my 3 kids like he would his own. He is funny when need be, serious when need be and an all around caring individual. Nearly three years ago, I underwent surgery for colon cancer. I was told that I would live 3-6 months. our whole family have had Dr. Ragunton for 29yrs and never had a person that has been so concerned about our health. Even when he receives our blood tests back he will call our home, some time as late as 7:30 in the evening. He will also call to follow up after a office visit to make sure the medicine is working and there is no side effects. All in all he is a great doctor.

Dr. Burris is consciencious and kind and very thorough. He really listens to you and asks questions as well... he listened, he took the symptoms seriously, and was diligent in finding a diagnosis. He is an extremely compassionate person and you can tell he loves being a doctor. Now I am on the road to good health and know how to handle my symptoms with my Chronic Fatique Syndrome. I feel in today's hurried world, doctor's tend to not listen as well as they should and have lost some of their compassion and kindness, but not Dr. Burris. Her didn't stop looking or trying until he found out what was going on.

Dr. Delaney is a pediatric doctor at the NICU in TAMC. My son, who was 6 weeks premature, loves her! She is gentle and very pretty and I think because of his first experiences with her, his first love will be blonde and blue eyed. He loves going for physicals and because she doesn't give him a shot, he likes her, but not the immunization nurses! Despite not being a mom yet, Dr. Delaney listens to my concerns and answers any questions to my satisfaction.

My Husband and my Mother and I all see Dr. Keefe.She is great she is a very caring Dr. She always takes the time needed with each pt. Amd she is very thourough to follow through with meeting your needs. And even though my mom has Dementia she still talks to her and listens to her . We all love our Dr .Keefe and her great staff .

After 20 years on the Navy, I found myself settled down in Iowa of all places and on a small farm to boot. I live in the town Elberon, population about 200. The next town over, has our Physican's Assistant, Karl Homes, who works for St. Luke's Hospital in downtown Cedar Rapids about an hour's drive. Karl is not only my family's doctor, he's also our neighbor -- as it goes in country life -- a mile in either direction is neighbors. Karl sees not only the health of my town but that of Keystone and a number of other surrounding, small rural communities. He knows virtually every patient by name and he's never bothered when he's asked a medical question outside of hours. He is one of the most kind hearted people I know with an ear that truly listens. He's constantly on call for our local nursing home and he doesn't shy away from calls at home when someone has a sick child -- no matter the hour. Like a true country doctor of old, I've known Karl to accept the generosity of fresh baked pie...

Dr Boyce takes the time to spend extra time talking to her patients. She is not in a hurry to speed you through so she gan get to her next patient.

Dr. Knowles has been a wonderful OB for my wife during our first pregnancy as well as a friend during my concerns as a scared future father. Not only using his medical experience and practice, but his life experiences from his own family. A true old fashioned doctor you can trust and talk to, one that disways the notion that health care is a just a machine and you are just the financial oil that keeps it going.

He checks everything over. If he thinks we should be referred to a specialist, he doesn't hesitate. He is interested in follow up. He wants to make sure we stay healthy and well. He is the greatest.

Dr. Shaffer is the best doctor I have ever had, and I consider myself to have had some VERY good doctors during my life. He possess a curious mind and seeks to satisfy his curiosity. He keeps himself current, and is both well read and widely read. He is always cheerful and his bedside manner could well be the envy of his profession. He takes all time either he or I feel I need, and answers my every question in detail but in terms I can understand. He even draws pictures and/or diagrams to accompany his explanations. He follows up with what he says he will follow up with, and gets these tasks done in the time he said he would. He has even telephoned me, out of the blue, to share information or make sure he or I have the same understanding--that's going the extra mile! Put simply: the guy deserves a medal.

In an 8 month period, I saw 4 doctors about abdominal pain and nausia; I was always told to eat more fiber and drink more water. When I saw PA Miller, he was immediately concerned and took the time to ask about all my symptoms and problems. A blood test revealed h-pylori. After treatment, when I didn't feel better, he had me do various tests that eventually led to my gall bladder not functioning well and I had it surgically removed 2 months ago. I think I have the best ophthalmologist in Nevada. He takes care of all my family's eye care, but also genuinely cares about us as people. He has a great reputation in our community and is well respected by his patients and staff. He is always available and willing to take the time to answer any question you have. In the times of feeling as if you are being rushed through an appointment, it is nice to have someone take the time to sit and talk with you. In August of 2006, I was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm. Dr. Riggs was my PCM. I was hospitalized here in Las Vegas where two neurosurgeons refused to do the surgery because of the position of the aneurysm. It was considered too risky. Dr. Riggs spent many hours getting me to the proper neurosurgeon and closely following my progress. In February of 2007 I finally had my surgery in San Francisco. It has been a year now, and while I have some brain damage and now seizures, I believe that if it hadn't been for Dr. Riggs' persistence and professionalism, I probably wouldn't be here to write this. I have thanked her many times and even sent flowers, but I can't think of a better way to honor her than through Doctors' Day. She will be PCSing soon and I will miss her greatly, and trust that I will be provided with another great PCM, but she will forever have my gratitude for giving me my life back.

DR Fogleman is the best doctor i have had in my 55 years, which includes 20 years of Active duty service. He was military and now a civilian still serving the military here at Kirtland AFB. He makes me fill so confident because he makes sure any of your concerns are fully investigated and that he follows up on them as well. He is very knowledgeable and i would hope he will be here in Albuquerque as long as i am here. He also said he may move one day to another state and i would only hope i might be able to move there. He is an outstanding and excellent provider and i recommend him to any of our Tricare beneficiaries. Bravo Dr Fogleman, thanks for your service to a military retiree and other active duty and retired members.

Dr. Karaian has monitored my cardiac condition for the past several years. I suffered a heart attack in 1999 and the doctors put a stent in one of my arteries. I have been driving a semi for the past 18 years, and as a result of not eating the right foods and not exercising, I now have a heart condition. Dr Karaian is following up on my condition by yearly exams, and because I come under Department of Transportation guidelines, have a stress test annually as well. He takes the time to answer any and all questions and explains everything I don't fully understand. The cardiac unit at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque is the best and the staff is great. I feel like if there was an award for excellence in your proffession, Dr. Karaian would win it. He actually is one of my heroes because he cares about my condition and the condition of all his other patients. A great big THANK YOU to him!

Angie is amazing, caring, attentive, thorough,kind and very gentle. She makes you feel like she really cares and always follows up right away. She listens and hears always with very caring ears. She explores all avenues to try to get her patients to a better place. She is never judgemental and never trivializes a patients concerns. She is a most amazing human being.
